Selecting a UPS Battery Backup

Blackout can be a nightmare to you especially when you have not saved your work file yet. To backup your devices during a blackout, an appropriate interruptible power supply (UPS) is what you need. But how to select the right UPS that suits to your use? Follow the lists below to find out which UPS that suits you the best.

Selecting a UPS Battery Backup
First of all, you have to know total capacity the UPS is supposed to support, the expected run time without AC power, and the right voltage.

Then, use search application on Tripp-Lite's "Product Selector Guides" to narrow down the specifications of UPS device to match with your requirement.

Next, add the total load of devices that needed support from UPS into the search field. Also, fill up the required power of single devices to find the result of total power load need.

Once you are done inputing all the numbers, have them calculated the minimum amount of time you probably need backup from UPS battery when there is a blackout and put the number into the provided area.

Put the amount of maximum time you might need the UPS to standby if the power is lost.

To ensure that the UPS will have the correct voltage needed to support the device, select the name of the country you will be using the UPS from the next box.

Finally, click "Find Matches" button and have a look at the specifications of devices showed in the results. These specifications can be used to find UPS backups in other brands and models that meet your work requirements and budget.

Food for thought: Remember not to select UPS backup that cannot hold the power load you need for all the devices since it will only end-up ruining the UPS.
